Rose of Jericho or Anastatica hierochuntica.
This amazing plant grows in the Judean Desert and around the Dead Sea.
When dry and dead - the plant's branches are folded as a fist to protect
the seeds. Only when there is enough rain to allow young seedlings to survive
- the wet branches open and let the seeds fall to the well prepared wet ground.
The dead plant can keep the seeds for years, if rain doesn't come.
